The valley goes quiet when this one enters — heavy-lidded, perfumed, and radiating heat you feel before you even touch the glass. You already know: it’s going to be a lot. And you want it anyway.
Pale gold, viscous, clinging to the glass like a silk rope. The scent is dizzying: rose petals crushed under heel, lychee and ripe peach dripped in honey, with a teasing edge of spice that stings if you get too close.
On the palate it’s lush, full-bodied, commanding — no room for coyness. The natural sweetness of ripe fruit wraps around a taut frame of exotic spice and a faint, earthy grip that holds you where it wants you. The finish lingers, warm and unrelenting, as though it’s not finished with you yet.
Best with bold flavours that can keep up — smoked duck with hoisin, pungent blue cheese melting over dark bread, or spiced lamb skewers dripping with fat.
It doesn’t loosen its grip quickly — and you’ll catch yourself hoping it never does.
