Founded in 2024 by Matthieu Wild and Lisa Cipolla, Domaine de Mathalis is a fresh and fiercely focused new estate located across nearly four hectares in the communes of Saze and Lirac, just west of Avignon. Nestled in the Gard region, this young domaine is already turning heads with its thoughtful approach to organic viticulture and minimal-intervention winemaking.
Matthieu, formerly trained in Burgundy and the Rhône, brings precision and an unshakable calm to the cellar, while Lisa’s energy and connection to the land keep the vineyards buzzing. Their wines reflect a deep commitment to letting the fruit and soil speak—unfined, unfiltered, and with little or no added sulphur. Though brand new, each cuvée already shows a clarity and poise that feels well beyond their years.
