A bit about the producer:
Colline de l’Hirondelle is a small, family-run organic winery located in the village of Douzens, at the eastern end of the Corbières region in southern France. The estate is managed by Jennifer Buck, a Californian who moved to France, and her partner Didier Ferrier, a native of the area.
Established in 2007, the winery spans approximately 9 hectares of vineyards situated on clay and limestone terraces in the northern foothills of the Alaric Mountain. The couple is committed to organic farming practices, avoiding synthetic chemicals and emphasizing biodiversity.
Colline de l’Hirondelle cultivates a variety of grape types, including Carignan, Grenache, Mourvèdre, Syrah, Chenançon, Roussanne, and Grenache Gris. Their wines are labeled as Vin de France, allowing them the flexibility to create unique blends that reflect the diverse terroir of their vineyards.
Colline de l’Hirondelle's wines are characterized by their freshness, balance, and expression of the local terroir. The couple's dedication to organic viticulture and minimal intervention winemaking results in authentic wines that capture the essence of the Corbières region.
